Characters - Karrin Murphy
Karrin Murphy is the head of the Special Investigations Department of the Chicago Police.
As many of those jobs go, there is not much gratitude for what she does. Not only that she's a
woman in a man's job, but she is also one of the few people who actually believe Harry and in the
supernatural. Most of her colleques think she's also a little around the bend.
Karrin Murphy lives in a small house in Bucktown which Grandma Murphy had left to her.
She's been married twice, and also divorced twice. There isn't much known about the when and why.
What we do know contais spoilers so I'll keep it at this for now.
She now lives alone and is probably one of Harry's best friends. And since he doesn't have many
that says something. She had hired him for a lot of consultant jobs when supernatural crimes
hit her desk.
She hates it to be treated as if she needs protection and so she's mightily pissed when Harry
keeps some information to himself in order to save her live.
We don't know very much about Murphy's personal life. She tries hard enough to keep her personal "affairs" out
of her life as a cop. Which of course doesn't work all that well.
